Our 2nd annual clothing drive as a partner with Mercy House is currently happening!

VHS partners with Mercy House, a homeless shelter in Ventura County centered around rapid re-housing for over 55 homeless individuals and their families. We are accepting any and all gently used clothing items including shoes, coats, pants, baby clothes, shirts, and blankets. Items can be dropped off in donation boxes located in the VHS Dance room (room 40) and the VHS main office.

Items will be accepted beginning November 1st through November 21st. All items will be delivered to the shelter Thanksgiving morning.

¡Nuestra segunda colecta anual de ropa como socio de Mercy House está en marcha!

VHS se asocia con Mercy House, un refugio para personas sin hogar en el condado de Ventura centrado en el realojamiento rápido para más de 55 personas sin hogar y sus familias. Aceptamos todas y cada una de las prendas de vestir poco usadas, incluidos zapatos, abrigos, pantalones, ropa de bebé, camisas y mantas. Los artículos se pueden dejar en las cajas de donaciones ubicadas en la sala de baile de VHS (sala 40) y en la oficina principal de VHS.

Los artículos se aceptarán desde el 1 de noviembre hasta el 21 de noviembre. Todos los artículos se entregarán al refugio la mañana del Día de Acción de Gracias.

A SUCCESSFUL DAY!

For the second year in a row, VHS Dance program partnered with Mercy House, a homeless shelter here in Ventura that provides housing to over 55 residents, among other services. We completed a clothing donation drive throughout the month of November and were able to provide 4 large boxes of coats, shoes, and many other clothing items for shelter residents all donated from Ventura high staff and students.

VHS Dance students and families also coordinated a Thanksgiving morning breakfast for all shelter residents. The morning was filled with lots of food, love, joy, and even a little dancing!
